Expo “VIC, LA CIUTAT DELS SANTS” in Ranxx Space at MMVV

Last September 15 and 16, 2023, the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic (MMVV) festival was held.

In this edition, the artistic association Ranxx, from five in the afternoon until three in the morning, had its own space where its community of artists exhibited their various talents. This is the mission of the Ranxx association; create spaces to promote local multi-artistic talent. This time, he left his secret locations to enter the streets of Vic and did it in the best possible context: the Festival de Musica Viva in Vic, which attracts more than 70 thousand people every year.

The most outstanding project was the mural exhibition: “VIC, LA CIUTAT DELS SANTS”. A collaboration with TV3 and La Kaseta as an ode to the episode of the fictional documentary “El Teorema del mico”, where the idea of a macro-orgy in Vic’s main square was raised.

The exhibition consisted of murals (street art, graffiti and painting) of a sensual and sexual nature by more than 25 artists placed along a large circle of 50 linear meters (x 2m high = 100m2) that delimited the space for an event that also had different stage performances, juggling and electronic rhythms.
The idea was to continue pulling the thread of this controversial proposal that, despite being unrealistic, caused so much commotion and funny reactions in the city of Vic.

So, on Friday the 15th, these artistic murals were accompanied by varied music, where we could discover local artists and listen to live music of tango, reggae, house, African beats…

The next day, Saturday the 16th, the music was based around techno. Ranxx Group teamed up with WHAC!K to create ‘RANXX IN TOWN x WHAC!K’, an innovative Showcase fusing electronic music and cutting edge Techno. With the presence of DJ and producer Aitor Ronda, together with artists from his record label: Blakeit, Djomby, Fetech Mode and Orlando.

Ultimately, it was a space that invited visitors to immerse themselves in an immersive experience of sensuality and electronic music in the heart of Vic, all with free entry to the park in front of the Sucre multiplexes.
